It is exciting times in the real estate market throughout the nation and especially here in Utah. Within Weber and Davis counties, the average days on market is down over 50% since last year at this time. In Davis County, the average days on market is 30 days and in Weber County, it is 44 days. With the lack of inventory, your house should sell quickly if it is priced correctly and if you’re buying, you don’t really have time to keep shopping around. The amount of homes sold is up all across the state and in Davis County, the number is up 20%. The medium sales price in Weber and Davis Counties is also up 9% from this time last year.
With new homes entering the market and helping fill the void from the lack of inventory, asking prices are rising to about 6%. The new construction also gives people the confidence to list their homes and get the values back out of their homes as well.
