After a long winter, don’t you just want to plant some thing? I can’t wait, but there are guidelines if you live in Ogden.
According to the City of Ogden’s website, there are regulations to planting in the City’s parkway … you need a permit to landscape in the right-a-way; there may also be a height restriction of what’s planted, and some plants can’t be planted in that space.
If you’re looking for mulch, you may find what you need at the Green Waste Facility. Ogden residents have their yard waste recycled into a rich compost/mulch perfect for your landscaping needs. They offer mulch, compost, wood chips, bark, rock chips and firewood. Located at 1845 Monroe Blvd.
In addition to mulch and compost, the Green Waste Facility is offering approximately 200 trees free to Ogden homeowners on a first come, first serve basis. These trees are to be planted in Ogden’s parkways to help beautify our streets. Contact the Green Waste Facility for more details.
If you have questions, be sure to contact the City.
